This page explains how users of the Buttons for Alexa app can delete their data.

How to Delete Your Data

All personal data generated by the app is stored locally on your device.

To permanently delete your data:

• Uninstall the Buttons for Alexa app from your Android device.

Uninstalling the app will automatically remove:

• Recorded voice commands
• Button configurations
• App settings
• Amazon Alexa authentication tokens stored on the device

Export Your Data Before Deleting

If you want to keep a copy of your configuration before deleting the app, you can export your data using the backup feature available in the app settings.

This will create a local backup file that you can store or share using Android's standard sharing options.

Data Stored by Third Parties

Some data may be processed by third-party services used by the app:

• Amazon Alexa – voice commands are processed by Amazon servers.
• Google Firebase – crash reports and anonymous usage statistics.
• Google AdMob – advertising services.

If you want to manage or delete data held by these services, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

License Validation Data

The app may temporarily process technical information to validate app licenses.

If stored on servers for technical reasons, this information is automatically deleted after a period of inactivity not exceeding 90 days.
