Before you connect
First test the routine in Alexa. In Buttons for Alexa, tap the Amazon sign-in button and complete the Amazon screen, including two-step verification if your account requires it. Return to the app after authorization.
The authorization requests the Alexa scope used to send the command. The login does not create routines or configure your home devices.
Cancelled or timed out
Return to Buttons for Alexa and start sign-in again. Check network access and finish the Amazon confirmation before the app’s wait expires. Cancelling sign-in is not a PRO issue.
Wrong account or expired session
Check that the same account is used in Alexa and the Amazon authorization flow. Reconnect from the app when the session has expired. If the browser keeps selecting the wrong account, review the signed-in Amazon account before retrying.
Review or revoke access
Review authorized applications in your Amazon account’s login/security settings. Availability and labels can vary by account and region; use Amazon’s account help if you cannot find the application. Revoke access there when you no longer want the connection, and sign out in the app as well.
Before reinstalling
Try reconnecting and check the account first. Reinstallation can remove local recordings or settings: keep a backup before taking that step. Support needs the app version, Android version and the symptom, not your password, token, audio or PIN.
